Premier Kenney laying down the law this afternoon at the province’s COVID 19 update. Kenney says while most albertans are following the rules when it comes to self isolation during the pandemic others are not….and those that don’t could face some serious fines. The premier says the province is no longer asking people to avoid large gatherings, but using the full force of the law. He says peace officers will be given authority to issue tickets to people not following the rules and fines could be in the thousands of dollars. The premier also spoke about many people who have recovered from the illness, saying we will beat this virus, but to do that, everyone needs to do their part. Since yesterday, there are 61 new cases of the virus in Alberta for a total of 419.
